He told me straight up, his barn burnt down.

He lost it all, his 3 horses, chickens, some cows & other barn animals. It was packed full of hay from the summer too. My only guess is it was something electrical that caused it, they found it in flames at 2:30 this morning. Its an older barn with old wiring. Thats all I know right now. .

That’s terrible.

About a year ago a nearby farm had their stables burn down, and lost all the animals inside as well. The farm is still operating, but not quite at the previous scale. The way real estate is selling in that area, it must take a lot of pride in their facility to not just cash in and walk away after a disaster like that.

What a disaster for him. The loss of the horses is especially sad to me. The horses were always more like part of our family than livestock. What a horrible way to die.

I hope your friend can recover from this.
